“My soul flowers in the light of Your love.” Eileen English Fuchs, BVM, chose this theme for her permanent commitment on July 16 as a Sister of Charity, BVM. Surrounded by the warmth of hundreds of family, friends and BVMs, Eileen celebrated at her alma mater, Nerinx Hall High School in St. Louis , where she is on the faculty.

“Today, empowered by these vibrant communities, you are able to gather up years of searching, longing, naming and dreaming and articulate them in your Yes-forever,” said Mary Nolan, BVM (Patricia Mary) in her reflection. “As you pronounce your vows, one thing is certain though, you are always just becoming.

“…The vows you joyfully profess today are promised to God, through the BVM community because you know of God's Abundant Love for you and you are responding with fierce love, new energy firm commitment and many gifts….We are eager to journey with you in the footsteps of Mary the Mother of Jesus and Mary Frances Clarke, two women whose YES made all the difference.”
