The “Dubuque’s Got Sisters!” discernment weekend is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dubuque Franciscan Sisters and Sinsinawa (Wis.) Dominican Sisters.

Lou Anglin, BVM, who will accompany the group, said, “We are glad to jointly offer this opportunity to women who are interested in religious life. Sisters in the Dubuque area collaborate in many ways to offer service, speak out for justice issues, and pray together. It seemed quite natural to come together to offer ‘Dubuque’s Got Sisters!’ as well.”

The Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary are women of steadfast love called to live the mission of Jesus through the core values of Freedom, Charity, Education and Justice. For 176 years, BVMs have ministered to those in need in numerous parts of the world. Currently, BVMs minister in 23 U.S. states, and in Ecuador, Guatamala and Ghana. Ministries include education, pastoral work, spiritual development, health care, justice advocacy and business services.
